![]() ![]() Can I connect the tape Libary directly to the server? if. HI I am trying to learn my self how to connect a Dell R720 server with a LTO 7 tape library. Can someone advise and guide me with the best practice? because to begin with I have these questions.1. ![]() Tape library Data Storage, Backup & Recovery. ![]() Perhaps the printer's admin web-interface is buggy and only works with Firefox in OS X ? See the attached screenshot with an active print dialog from Preview and Safari. What you set up within Firefox has really zero bearing on the print dialog for any other app. Don't care as long as it works and I know how now.Īs stated this doesn't make any sense nor comply with per-application print dialogs in Mac OS X. Then call three different Dahill techs before she found one that new of this workaround. Had to meet a Dahill support tech on-site (2 hour drive for me) so she could go through all the steps I did and couldn't get it to work. After I set this up, as I always have before this issue, printing worked from PDF, Word, Safari and other programs. But when we installed the Firefox web browser and used it to print and configure accounting the Xerox Features menu was there. Turns out the one and only Xerox driver for this MacOS will not show the Xerox Features menu item from Safari, PDF, Word or most other programs that can print. Though I'd expect Spotlight to find the file if it's around, unless the Spotlight database hasn't finished rebuilding, or if the file or path or type has been excluded from Spotlight searches, or there's a corruption lurking somewhere.Got it working. That restore-and-search might be faster, if you have a backup immediately prior to the upgrade or whatever you suspect might have deleted the file. You might end up rolling in an old Time Machine backup or whatever you're using to archive your data to an external (scratch) device and then searching that for this file. If you don't get the file, it's been expunged and you'll need to check backups from prior to whatever sequence ended up deleting the file. You'll have to enter your admin password for the sudo, and the find command will then take a while to search your entire file system ( / ) and that speed depending on the speed of the underlying storage and the numbers of files present on the storage, and it'll probably throw a few (harmless) messages such as "Permission denied" or "No such file or directory" as it traverses the entirety of your boot device storage and all of the files on all mounted storage devices.Īmid any diagnostics that might be displayed, that find command will print the full path of any files matching the specified (case-insensitive) name search. Launch Terminal.app from Applications > Utilities and issue the following: Okay that Finder setting is apparently a difference between Sierra and High Sierra. I usually backup my MBP incrementally with CCC (Carbon Copy Cloner). Only media existing physically in my Finder folder.ĭoes anyone know of a way I can achieve this? (Maybe saving/backing up to an external HD or any other way?) If by mistake I deleted playlist(s) in V3, going back to the original, those playlists are missing too. (That’s the way I do with other apps- Excel, etc).īut I realized that if something goes wrong and I try to go from V3 to the original “name.musiclibrary”, the changes I’ve made are all reflected in the original. When I started making changes to the library (deleting playlists and so) after some minutes I quit the app, went to the Finder, created a duplicate of the “name.musiclibrary” file, called it “name V1.musiclibrary” and wanted to go on doing the same from time to time. Saving changes to my Music library after changing it Hello and thank you for reading this. I have "Keep Music Media folder organized" checked in the Files tab and I also ran the "Organize Library" task from he Music > Files menu after importing the CDs just to see if it made any difference.īased on pics I see on the internet, it appears the default should be to have the individual music folders in the "Music" folder inside the "Media" folder? (Note the additional folder "Music" at the end of the path.Īfter importing several CD's I am seeing the individual folders in the "Media" folder. "/Macintosh HD/Users/~/Music/Music/Media/Music/" (multiple folders - 1 for each CD) "/Macintosh HD/Users/~/Music/Music/Media/" (multiple folders - 1 for each CD) Should the folders of each CD be found in: " /Macintosh HD/Users/~/Music/Music/Media" (I believe that is the default?) If Music > Preferences > Files > Music Media folder location is set to: I am curious about the default location of music files for Apple Music files when running Catalina 10.15.7.
